Non-Profit SERVICE GROUP
30+ Years of Service, Fellowship, and Local ImpactThe Blue Kats Men’s Club is a nonprofit social organization for men in the greater Saugerties community. Our mission is simple: support those in need, strengthen local institutions, and provide our members with an opportunity to build friendships through shared meals and shared purpose.
For over three decades, we’ve helped our neighbors through direct donations, hands-on assistance, and collaboration with civic, religious, and charitable organizations. We believe in showing up, giving back, and doing our part to make life in Saugerties just a little bit better for everyone.

-
Charitable giving for individuals and families facing hardship
-

Sausage, Garlic, and Service—A Saugerties Tradition
Each fall, the Blue Kats Men’s Club hosts one of the most popular food booths at the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival—serving up our famous garlic sausage and peppers sandwiches that keep folks coming back year after year.
But this isn’t just about great food—it’s our biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from sandwich sales help local families in crisis, support youth organizations, and provide vital aid to nonprofits across Saugerties. Every bite supports a better community.
From preparing food and setting up the booth, to working the grill and greeting customers, every member pitches in—and we always have a good time doing it.

What Makes Blue Kats Different

For more than 30 years, the Blue Kats has reflected the values that define Saugerties: neighborliness, service, and heart. Founded by community-minded men, our group continues to thrive on simple, meaningful acts of support—whether it’s helping a neighbor in crisis, contributing to a local organization, or just showing up when it matters.
We don’t ask for a big commitment. Our monthly meetings are straightforward and enjoyable, offering members a chance to reconnect, share a meal, hear from engaging speakers, and explore new ways to give back. There’s no pressure, no politics—just men coming together to make a difference, carrying forward a legacy of local involvement that continues to grow with every member who joins and every good deed we do.
