The Blue Kats Men’s Group was proud to welcome members of the Kingston Guards Vintage Base Ball Club to our April meeting for a fascinating presentation on the history and tradition of vintage base ball in the Hudson Valley.
The group shared stories about the origins of the Kingston Guards, the spirit of 19th century base ball, and how today’s players keep the game alive by playing with historic rules, uniforms, and sportsmanship from another era. It was a fun and educational evening that connected local history, community, and America’s pastime in a truly unique way.
In addition to hosting the presentation, the Blue Kats were also pleased to provide financial support to help this wonderful local organization continue its work preserving and sharing regional history through vintage base ball.
